DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY: Join ‘New Voices’ at a virtual art x tech conference (Supported by The British Council and York Mediale)
We are looking for audio-focused artists, producers or curators from Sub Saharan Africa, Wider Europe and Latin America to take part in The Immersive Assembly, an online conference about art and tech.
The event will take place over four consecutive Fridays during February 2021 and will be a collaborative and creative forum for idea sharing and showcasing digital media projects. Featuring a curated selection of cultural influencers and practitioners, The Immersive Assembly will be an inspiring and innovative re-invention of a virtual arts event.
Our offer: This opportunity will offer up to 6 creatives a place in a virtual cohort called ‘New Voices’. The cohort will have full access to all the online talks, sessions, networking events and experiences within the Immersive Assembly. There will also be opportunities for the cohort to speak about their creative practice, showcase their projects and meet an international selection of artists, curators, programmers and collaborators.
Who we are looking for: We are looking for audio-focused innovators interested in immersion. You might be a sound artist, musician, composer, producer or curator. For you experimenting with audio and technology is either a passion or an area of interest in which you want to expand.
We imagine this opportunity will most benefit a cohort of early-mid career arts professionals, who have an active creative practice and are looking for professional development and the next step:
- Exploring new technological fields
- Developing connections in new markets
- Open to new collaborative projects
