The City of York is the UK’s first, and only, UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts, receiving the designation in December 2014.
Receiving this designation acknowledges and exemplifies York as a forward thinking, innovative, talent focussed champion of the cultural industries; a city that places creativity at the heart of local development plans and actively collaborates with other world-leading, international cities.
